  • A Jacquard loom woven tapestry of Lady Godiva, an Anglo-Saxon noblewoman; who, according to legend, rode naked through the streets of Coventry in order to gain a remission of the oppressive taxation imposed by her Danish overlord Earl of a husband on his tenants. This is a grand scale tapestry whose image has been plied from the pre-Raphaelite brush of John Collier, one of the most prominent portait painters of Victorian England. Size: 1400mm x 1000mm.
