Our Sugar Loaf Helmet is hand crafted from 12 gauge steel (for the skull) and 14 gauge steel for rest of the helmet. The brass cross is also 12 gauge. As such this robust helmet is perfect for the re-enactment field! The steel has a satin finish like many original pieces of armour.
